Unai Emery's Aston Villa side will look to extend their unbeaten home streak to 10 Premier League matches when they host struggling Midlands rivals Leicester City at Villa Park today. After a frustrating 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in their last match, Villa remain firmly in contention for European qualification despite dropping to ninth place in the standings.

Leicester, on the other hand, have endured a dismal run of form under Ruud van Nistelrooy, losing their last four league fixtures. The Foxes sit 19th in the table, desperate for points to stave off the looming threat of relegation.

With both teams facing key absences due to injuries and suspensions, this Midlands derby promises to be a fascinating encounter.

Aston Villa will be without Jhon Durán and Morgan Rogers due to suspension, the latter picking up his fifth booking of the season in the Brighton clash.

The defensive line will also need reshuffling, as Pau Torres remains sidelined with a foot injury sustained earlier this week. Brazilian Diego Carlos is expected to start alongside Tyrone Mings at the heart of the defence.
